celebration of pas-de-deux with 10 professional dancers - specially created for
boys and girls

Ballet Cymru combine with the Royal Academy of Dance to present three
workshops:
Dolman Theatre, Newport, South Wales
All Levels: £12
LEVEL 1 10am - 11.30am (basic pas-de-deux on demi-pointe)
Grades
4, 5
LEVEL 2 11.45am - 1.30pm (medium pas-de-deux on demi-pointe)
Grades
6, 7, 8 and Intermediate Foundation
LEVEL 3 2.30pm
- 4.30pm (advanced pas-de-deux to include
some pointe work)

DANCING
TOGETHER gives both male and female dancers the chance to explore dancing with a
partner, learn choreography and work with professional dancers. Includes performing
to friends and family at the end of each workshop. Last date
for applications is Friday 7 October 2011.
We want you to
get the most out of your workshop. This means that you must have been studying
the level (or equivalent) you are entering, for at least 6 months.

South Wales-based Ballet Cymru, are a
young, vital group of dancers who
are
pushing back the barriers of classical ballet, passionate about delivering
high-quality
ballet and education work. These workshops give young dancers
the
unique opportunity to learn from 5 male dancers expertly guided by
5 female
dancers who know what it takes to be lifted and walked around the
stage. There
will also be the opportunity to learn some repertoire from
Ballet
Cymru's current production of Beauty and
the Beast .
Royal Academy of Dance is one
of the world's largest ballet training
organisations,
with a huge teacher training programme and far-reaching dance
examination
programme operating in 80 countries around the world.
DANCING TOGETHER is
an event managed by the Royal Academy of Dance, Wales Region, made possible by
a generous bequest from the late Miss Marguerite Thomas, a much-respected and
